My blood tests showed that my inflammatory markers were a
little above normal (58) which is normal for me haha. Over the last 2 blood
tests they’ve done, they did a special one that test if the Imuran
(azathioprine) is affective or not. And over the last 2 tests they haven’t been
showing signs of the drug being absorbed. So the last appointment I went to
they bumped up my dose to 150mg from 100mg. I had another blood test this time
(as usual) and hopefully my higher dose is being affective. For now I’m
sticking to the higher dose along with the infliximab until I get a call about
the new blood tests results.

| Now I’m not much of a complainer when it comes to blood tests but jeez! They took 8 of those vials you see up there of my blood! 8! That’s a lot haha. I even felt a little woozy afterwards. So of course I went and bought macarons and I felt better haha |
I had a colonoscopy about 2 months ago and it showed that most of the inflammation I have is right down the bottom right where the anus is. I still have inflammation in my bowels but its now as bad and is being controlled. THIS IS AWESOME! So I just have to worry about the tip lol. My consultant told me about a drug that he could put me on to hopefully reduce the inflammation I have. It’s a tablet that’s made into a paste to put in the bum (yes squirted lol) and it coats the lining of the bum and hopefully reduces the inflammation. So I’m just waiting to hear back about these test results and then we can go further with all that fun!
